Modifying the naming scheme

  • Updated April 12, 2023 00:37

Question:

We've come up with a new naming scheme for our switches. How do you get AKIPS to update the hostname being polled but not delete the history in the process?

Answer:

The simplest way is to toggle Admin -> General -> Miscellaneous -> Device Naming Scheme to IPAddress and back to sysName.
