Increase AKIPS’ disk size in VMware:
- Confirm that your backup is working and that you can see a recent backup (Admin > System > Backup > Check Status).
- Shutdown your backup AKIPS’ server via the GUI (Admin > System > System Shutdown > Shutdown Server).
- If you are using VMWare, check in the VMWare console that the server has completely shutdown.
- Increase the size of the disk allocated to AKIPS’ server in VMWare. We only support a single disk so you will need to increase the existing disk, not add an additional disk.
- Start your AKIPS’ server. We have a start-up routine which should detect that the disk has increased and update the volume appropriately.
- Check on your AKIPS’ server that the disk space has increased (Admin > System > System Info > System Information > Disk Used).
- Increase your backup AKIPS’ server disk space using the same procedure to accommodate the new size of your primary server disk.
Important: The backup server must have double the disk space of your production server.
