Adjust AKIPS to enable ping and SNMP monitoring of itself

Is anyone uasing AKIPS to monitor itself?  If so how?

I request that the AKIPS server be updated to ping and SNMP monitor itself.

Ping succeeds in ping/snmp but ping fails fails for me if I add the AKIPS IP as a ping only device: icmpState=0

I tried to configure the SNMP agent that ships with the AKIPS OS but it had very limited coverage of typipcal Linux objects expose by NetSNMP.  Add the NetSNMP agent and the admin ability to configure the agent.  This will enable AKIPS to easily monitor, report and alert on itself as well as other SNMP managers.
